And working conditions in other countries will only then improve, if the people there start to value good working conditions. Or do you think local employers are treating their employees better than western manufacturers?
I buy 2 Euro t-shirts that I wear for almost 2 years now. They are still in great condition and I will keep buying and wearing them.
If you want to change the situation, make a better product. Alarmism about the environment is nothing new and if we would have listened to it in the 60s, who knows how our economy would look today and on what technology we would miss out.
I love fashion but also the environment. I get second hand designer items (I treat myself every so often) new if it's a really good deal and a rare item and other stuff is second hand. As someone who loves fashion people are surprised to see how little my clothing collection us
Most of the fast fashion stuff looks so trashy i would never wear it. For example zara is by far the biggest shitshow for clothing i have ever seen. God awful quality fabric, stiching so bad you can rip it if you pull it a bit harder and dont get me started on washing it, 2 washes its faded and even shittier than before and don't get me started on the prices in my country since here its pretty expensive for garbage. I stopped following shit trends years ago. Simple jeans, black or white t shirt and vans. It's classic it will always look good no matter what. Wear it till it fall aparts.

I like how he talks about how much water and co2 is used to create clothes. As if that is something completely surreal process.
Everything needs to some degree water and co2 to be created. Literally everything.
