Hello, i may use a couple of your concepts here. One thing i never see in your videos is your post. Are you creating a stand or are you having to dig a post in place. I'm working on a gadget tour that is in a state park, so i know i can't dig. What would be your solution?
Great cache! How did you install the nut that holds the key? It must be attached or glued so it does not spin. Also, are there instructions in the cache on how to leave the key bolt perpendicular so the chain goes through and does not tip off the next cacher?
I would recommend that the fake keys are put on a ring and chain so those who can't figure out the cache won't assume someone lost or took the real key.
I just stumbled upon your channel yesterday and subbed after the first video. I've since watched/liked 4 or 5 before getting to this one. As I was watching your lego build, I was thinking how gadget geocaches are very similar to some of the puzzles in escape rooms. Then I got to this video… Truly amazing! The only thing I don't get is why you don't have more subscribers…
Welcome Back Tim….. it`s been a while 😉 Nice one again ….. Nearly finisched my new gadget cache,….. some small details, then find a spot and than lauch it…;)
Hello WVTim. I started geocaching in August 2019 and your channel quickly became my favorite caching related channel on Youtube. I hope to be able to place copies or twists of some of the caches you have videos on here around my hometown in Sweden, as there are very few gadgetcaches here.Any tips for making the "it's a hoot" cache (where you need to inflate a baloon)? How did you make the teeter-totter and weigh it down on one side?
Jiggs11 and I (Kenlaur) did this one during the last geotour event. Took a while but we eventually figured it out but we got it. WVTIM caches are the best!
For clarification, in case there are others out there that are not aware of this, it is PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE to place a 4×4 post in the ground as long as you have written permission by the land owner or manager. This is the quote from the Geocaching Guidelines : from the section on burying a cache – "The only exception is if a property owner gives explicit permission to create a hole to place the cache, which you must provide to the reviewer and state on the cache page. A cache cannot require the finder to dig to reach the cache. See the Regional Geocaching Policies Wiki for details in your region." Of course I received written permission from the land manager to bury the 4×4 post and submitted this and a picture to the reviewer when I submitted my cache for approval.
Great video my friend! Fantastic gadget cache! You did something amazing with the idea. Thanks for the credit! We’ll keep inspiring each other! Greetings from the Netherlands. 💪🏻

I build I cache very similar to this one a few weeks back, though the perch had a key on the end of it.

I hope that the cache at this public place will not be destroyed. We have a similar cache here in my home region, inspired by you.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe you uploaded! o.O But also this is a fantastic cache! (as always) Thanks for sharing it with us.
